DIME’s Medicine and Humanities team presented at this year’s Creative Space VII in Winnipeg, Manitoba, from April 28-29th.
Creating Space (CS) is an annual pre-conference at CCME that explores the evolving use of arts, humanities and social sciences (AHSS) in healthcare education. Over the last six years, CS has become an annual summit where scholars, artists and healthcare practitioners gather to discuss how to cultivate the best and most humanistic characteristics of health care professionals. Please see more on the Creative Space VII website.
The team provided overviews of the successes and challenges of our local and international programs in Medicine and Humanities at uOttawa, and these were featured presentations at a panel discussion of medical humanities programs at medical schools across Canada. (see above).
