Biography

Dr. Kevin Baker is an Assistant Professor and Director of Continuing Professional Development at the University of Ottawa as well as the Chair of the Continuing Medical Education Committee.

Dr. Baker received his medical degree from Queen’s University in 1984, and did his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Ottawa. In 1990, Dr. Baker completed a fellowship in Urogynecology at the University of Toronto.

He has been an active staff member of the Ottawa Hospital since 1990. He sees patients in the Urogynecology Clinic at the Shirley E Greenberg Women’s Health Centre at the Riverside Campus, and also maintains a Gynecology and Obstetrics practice at the Civic Campus.

Dr. Baker is presently a member of the American Urogynecologic Society, and the International Continence Society. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada – Obstetrics and Gynecology, and is a member of the Society of Obstetricians and Gynecologists of Canada.

Dr. Baker has traveled throughout Ontario and has trained over 20 community physicians (Obs/Gyn and Urology) how to perform TVT procedures, which is a leading edge technology in the treatment of female urinary incontinence.

Dr. Baker is fluently bilingual in English and French.
