As CBME is gaining momentum across the country, the PGME Office has established a CBME advisory subcommittee. The mandate of the subcommittee is to drive major decisions as we move forwards with the ongoing implementation of CBD and alignment with CFPC’s Triple C Competency Based Curriculum. Subcommittee membership includes Ex-Officio members from PGME and the Office of Continuing Professional Development (4), faculty (5), residents (2), program administrators (2), and PGME and Medtech staff (4).
Over the next academic year, the subcommittee will focus on the following strategic planning activities:
- Organize a CBME retreat (November 20, 2017)
- Identify resources and technology infrastructure that will enable the successful implementation of CBME
- Support faculty, residents, and administrative staff in the implementation of CBME
- Propose and draft new policies as needed to support CBME
