The Department of Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine at the University of Ottawa is recruiting faculty to join our team of committed academic physicians at the lecturer, assistant or associate professor ranks. Current available faculty positions offer a broad scope of clinical practice at The Ottawa Hospital with unrivalled support for faculty development and mentorship in the beautiful capital city of Ottawa, Canada. Faculty are expected to contribute to both undergraduate and postgraduate medical education and suitably qualified applicants will have opportunities to take part in both clinical and laboratory research.
Applicants must have either the FRCPC or equivalent examination, have fellowship training in the subspecialty area of interest and be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO). A graduate degree is an asset, though not essential. The University of Ottawa has a long history of scholarly excellence in medical education and also has specific research interests in perioperative and pain medicine. We have positions available in several areas of practice but particular areas of current need include airway anesthesia, regional anesthesia, pain medicine, perioperative medicine and global health.
