Overview of Interests
The Wiper-Bergeron laboratory focuses on the transcriptional mechanisms that govern adult stem cell differentiation, specifically into muscle, bone and fat. Dr. WiperBergeron is also interested in the development and assessment of new learning tools for medical education.
Accomplishments / Awards / Impact
Dr. Wiper-Bergeron received the 2014 uOttawa Excellence in Education Prize and the 2013 Young Distinguished Professor Award.
Dr. Wiper-Bergeron has received grants from the Canadian Institute for Health Research, the Natural Sciences Engineering and Research Council of Canada, the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada, the Muscular Dystrophy Association and the Cancer Research Society.
