Every year we host the “Morris Kates Seminar” on the same day that we hold the poster symposium of graduate students. This year, the Morris Kates Seminar and poster symposium is taking place on May 3rd. The poster symposium will take place from the morning 9 AM until 3 PM in the atrium of RGN. At 3 PM the Morris Kates Seminar will take place in RGN2005. This will be followed by a reception in the atrium.
We are pleased to announce that Dr. Douglas Green has accepted our invitation to visit us on May 3rd and give the Morris Kates Seminar (3:00-4:00 PM, RGN 2005). Dr. Green is the Chair of the Immunology Department at St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee. Dr. Green is a gifted scientist, with an extensive track record of research productivity and an h-index of 169. He is an equally gifted speaker and we are delighted to welcome him to the University of Ottawa .
His seminar is entitled: Targeting LAP: LC3-associated phagocytosis in inflammation, immunity and cancer
Dr. Green is one of the most cited immunologists in the world, and this is a unique opportunity for you to attend his seminar, and get to know his research and his style of presentation.
