Biography

Dr. Chiu is the director of the Foundational Elements of Applied Simulation Theory (FEAST) curriculum. She is the simulation director for the Department of Anesthesiology at the University of Ottawa, co-director of the anesthesia fellowship in simulation and medical education and a simulation educator at the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (RCPSC). In addition to teaching at the undergraduate, postgraduate and fellow levels at the uOSSC, she has presented a wide range of workshops in simulation-based medical education locally, provincially and nationally. Her medical education interests are focused on assessment of competence and train-the-trainer faculty development.
