“We are proud to celebrate our students who are both physicians who teach medical students as well as individuals who are learning in a clinical setting. As such, they are perfect examples of the Faculty’s motto of ‘We teach to heal."

The uOttawa Faculty of Medicine’s Postgraduate Medical Education successfully hosted its first Annual Convocation Ceremony on June 23, 2017.

The President and Vice-Chancellor of uOttawa, Mr. Jacques Frémont, joined Dr. Jacques Bradwejn and Dr. Lorne Wiesenfeld to congratulate the residents during his address.

Keynote speaker Dr. Jeffrey Turnbull, former Chief of Staff at The Ottawa Hospital, shared a few words of wisdom with the residents as they embarked on the next phase of their career in medicine.

"The University of Ottawa has a long and distinguished history of training medical and healthcare professionals,” said Mr. Frémont.  “We are proud to celebrate our students who are both physicians who teach medical students as well as individuals who are learning in a clinical setting. As such, they are perfect examples of the Faculty’s motto of ‘We teach to heal.’”
