Indigenous Celebration: MD curriculum champions inclusivity and social accountability
uOttawa Faculty of Medicine’s Indigenous Celebration took place at the WabanoCentre for Aboriginal Health on September 11, where new MD students gathered to experience and learn about Indigenous cultures.
The emeritus professor with the School of Epidemiology and Public Health was a prolific author, scientist and teacher, and is remembered as a tremendous academic, generous with time and thought, and a true gentleman.
On behalf of Dr. Bernard Jasmin, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, here are this year’s recipients of the Alumni Awards of Distinction. Awards will be presented during Homecoming Weekend’s Sunday Brunch on October 6 at the Shaw Centre.

The third annual Medicine and Humanities International Program took place in Shanghai from July 1 to 12, bringing together students from uOttawa, Université de Lyon and two participating medical schools in China.
