The uOttawa Faculty of Medicine was delighted to welcome roughly 240 new trainees to its Postgraduate Medical Education (PGME) program at a day-long orientation session held at Roger Guindon Hall on Friday, June 28.
uOttawa MD/PhD student Adam Pietrobon is determined to find better treatment for a rare lung disease. He is currently part of a research team in Dr. William Stanford’s laboratory located at the Ottawa Hospital Research Institute, where they are working towards finding a cure for Lymphangioleiomyomatosis (LAM).
Eager to uncover the boundless possibilities of a future career in medicine and health sciences, over 200 local high school students visited Roger Guindon Hall on May 31, 2019 to explore the only faculty of medicine in Ottawa.
uOttawa MD student leads non-profit: Connecting free medical equipment with those who need them
Using her network of classmates and friends, uOttawa MD student Emma Grigor launched the Medical Equipment Collection (MEC) Foundation, a local non-profit that provides free medical equipment to people in financial need.
