uOttawa Faculty of Medicine and the Canadian Agency for Drugs and Technologies in Health (CADTH) have teamed up to host a public event marking the release of the fourth edition of the Guidelines for the Economic Evaluation of Health Technologies: Canada.

Hosted by Dr. Doug Coyle, Professor and Interim Director of the School of Epidemiology and Public Health and his colleague Karen Lee, Adjunct Professor of Epidemiology and Director of Health Economics at CADTH, the event will take place in person on Tuesday, March 28 at 55 Laurier Ave on the uOttawa Downtown Campus. All those interested are welcome to attend. The event will also be broadcast live online.

At this event, CADTH will provide an overview of the Guidelines, highlight the major changes and updates, and share details about upcoming information sessions and training opportunities.

This release marks the first update to the Guidelines since the third edition was published in 2006. The Guidelines are intended to help produce credible and standardized economic information that is relevant and useful to decision-makers in Canada’s public health care system. They offer best practices for conducting economic evaluations and promote the use of high-quality economic evaluations to inform health care decision-making.
