Biographie
Peggy J. Kleinplatz, Ph.D. est professeur à la Faculté de médecine de l'Université d'Ottawa. Elle est nommée conjointement en tant que professeur d'éducation. Elle est psychologue clinicienne, certifiée en éducation sexuelle et en tant que diplomate et superviseur de la thérapie sexuelle. Depuis 1983, elle enseigne la sexualité humaine à l'Université d'Ottawa, où elle a reçu le Prix d'Excellence en 2000. Kleinplatz a édité quatre livres, notamment New Directions in Sex Therapy: Innovations and Alternatives, (Routledge, 2e édition), lauréate du Prix du livre AASECT 2013 et Sexuality and Aging (2015) avec le Dr Walter Bouman.Son cinquième livre, Magnificent Sex: Lessons from Extraordinary Lovers avec le co-auteur A. Dana Ménard, Ph.D. a reçu le prix du livre de consommation 2021 de la Society for Sex Therapy and Research.En 2015, Kleinplatz a reçu le Professional Standard of Excellence Award de l'American Association of Sexuality Editors, Counselors and Therapists. Son travail clinique se concentre sur l'érotisme et la transformation.
