Undergraduate Education

We had our first Undergraduate Advisory Committee meeting last month.  Welcome to new members and returning participants.  We have elected to focus on showcasing the importance of family physicians in the pre-clerkship program at the university.

Congratulations to uOttawa medical students Iuliia Povieriena and Shelby Allison, who this week were awarded the CFPC Medical Student Leadership Award and the CFPC Medical Student Scholarship, respectively, at Family Medicine Forum in Toronto.

Postgraduate Education

DFM Strategic retreat on QI Curriculum – November 1 2018

Dr. Liz Muggah hosted the first ever DFM Strategic retreat on QI Curriculum on Thursday November 1 2018. The event brought together 16 QI leads, preceptors and administration from all units for an exciting afternoon of thought provoking QI learning and planning. Special thanks to Dr. John Maxted and Ms. Trish O’Brien, both from the University of Toronto, for their participation in our event.

CRAG and DFM Retreat Success

Another successful CRAG and DFM retreat is in the books. A huge thank you to all those who came out to support our program and have their say. Special thanks goes out to Drs. Wooltorton, Lewis and their amazing administrative team for such a successful event.
