Congratulations to those who presented at Meridith Marks Day and Journées Montfort! The undergraduate team and some students presented on different initiatives supported by the DFM.
In-person pre-clerkship activities have been put on hold given the COVID-19 pandemic. Some activities will be transferred online and we are hoping that everyone will be able to remain safe during these difficult times.
Congratulations to all of our students who matched to a residency program on April 20! This class has shown a lot of resiliency through the last four years of their studies.
The first iteration CaRMS match was on April 20! We have matched 51 out of 69 spots (view the full summary of unfilled positions across Canada). Second iteration began yesterday and applications close on May 3. If you have any questions, please contact Kim Rozon. Thank you to all who have participated in CaRMS this year, including those who are assisting with second iteration. We are very pleased about how well the 4-day interview period unfolded earlier this year. While we still have some work to do, we are grateful to our team for their efforts and look forward to welcoming our new cohort in July.
Did you know that CaRMS 2022 will also be virtual? With that in mind, we’d love to brainstorm our virtual approach with you to ensure a successful CaRMS event. If you’d like to participate in the working group, please contact Kim Rozon. We will need support from faculty, residents, and staff to ensure another successful match!
We are pleased to announce that Dr. Ellias Horner has been selected as the 2021-22 Program Chief. The nominees for the unit Chief Residents have been received and the results will soon be announced.
