Hello to everyone! Interview season is starting soon at the undergraduate medical education program. The interviews for admissions to the medical school will begin this month. These are being held virtually for the first time this year. Many departmental members are sitting on interview panels. To those participating, thank you for volunteering!
Our fourth-year medical students are also starting their CaRMS interviews soon. This has been a challenging year and I wish great success to all our learners applying for a residency position.

Our first virtual CaRMS interviews are upcoming (March 11, 12, 18 & 19). Interviewers will receive an orientation to the interview process at noon on the day they are scheduled to interview. Unit Coordinators will be contacting you to coordinate the date you will be interviewing. The morning will be taken up by information sessions for the applicants, and the afternoons will be reserved for the interviews themselves.
Did you know that CaRMS 2022 will also be virtual? With that in mind, we’d love to brainstorm our virtual approach with you to ensure a successful CaRMS event. If you’d like to participate in the working group, please contact Kim Rozon. We will need support from faculty, residents, and staff to ensure another successful match!
In another first, we held a Virtual Job Fair on Friday January 29, 2021. We welcomed 51 recruiters (from Ontario, the Atlantic Provinces and the Prairies). Thank you to all who participated including the 125 residents who joined online!
