Message from the Chair - October 2020

Posted on Wednesday, October 14, 2020

Fall in Family Medicine has always been synonymous with getting together to connect with colleagues, share knowledge and ideas, and catch up with friends. This year will be no exception! Many of you attended the Faculty Development Half Day on September 25. Thanks to all who joined us, and to Dr. Eric Wooltorton and his talented team for a wonderful afternoon.

DFM Strategic Plan

As we begin preparations for the DFM's Strategic Plan, we have scheduled virtual site visits for each unit. Look for a short survey soon to capture your opinions and ideas. Please share your thoughts - Your participation, feedback, and contributions throughout this strategic planning exercise will only strengthen our plan, which will guide us for years to come.

DFM Departmental Assembly

I hope you will all join me for the DFM Departmental Assembly on Friday, December 4 (all day, more details to follow), as we share our visions for this amazing Department and continue work on our Strategic Plan to move us forward.

Mark your calendars

A new (but familiar) OCFP President

Lastly, it is such an honour to congratulate Dr. Elizabeth Muggah, who was recently installed as the 63rd President of the Ontario College of Family Physicians, and Dr. Doug Gruner, who joins her on the OCFP Board of Directors. Ontario's family physicians are privileged to benefit from your leadership and passion for our discipline.
