Who are we?

OPEN is the Department of Family Medicine’s learning network of like-minded family practitioners in the region who are joining forces to learn and share their knowledge to advance primary care. OPEN members include:

  • Family physicians
  • Teachers
  • Role models
  • Trailblazers
  • Primary care advocates

Why should you join OPEN?

OPEN members have access to customized coaching, tools, mentorship and support to help you prioritize gaps in your practice and identify evidence-based approaches to address them. The 2000 Practice-Based Learning Network members across Canada can't be wrong! Join OPEN today to:

  • Achieve your practice goals
  • Help your residents succeed in their Quality Improvement and FMRSP projects
  • Get support to meet your MOH and CPSO quality improvement benchmarks
  • Advance primary care
  • Be a part of innovative change in healthcare
  • Join forces with colleagues in Family Medicine – we are stronger together!

OPEN is one of seven learning networks across Ontario who have come together to form the Primary Care Ontario Practice Based Learning and Research Network (POPLAR). POPLAR is endorsed by the OCFP and the OMA, and we are working with the CPSO to ensure our practices have the support they need to succeed.
