Our faculty members are constantly innovating to find better ways to meet the learning needs of their students and residents, as well as the care needs of their patients. “Alas, if we don’t share our learnings,” says Dr. Simone Dahrouge, the DFM’s Director of Research at the CTLC, “the impact of these innovations are limited to our region, and progress in our field is slow.”

“Only disseminated work can have uptake elsewhere, adds Dr. Dahrouge, “and publication remains a very important method to broad dissemination.” Does the idea of authoring, reviewing or editing scientific research articles seem daunting? Are you interested in improving these skills? Fortunately, Introduction to Publication Science: A Workshop on Scientific Writing, Publishing and Peer Review is a new course aimed at researchers and physicians that uses a comprehensive, evidence-based approach to describe the principles of publication science.
