Simone Dahrouge, PhD

Biography

Dr. Simone Dahrouge is a Scientist at the C.T. Lamont Primary Health Care Research Centre. She is an Assistant Professor and Deputy Chair for the Department and has a cross-appointment with the School of Epidemiology, Public Health and Preventive Medicine, and a membership to the Faculty of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies. She is also an Adjunct Scientist with the Institute for Clinical Evaluative Sciences. She holds a Master's degree in Epidemiology and a PhD in Population Health from the University of Ottawa.

Dr. Dahrouge’s research focuses on the organization of primary care health services research and its effect on quality and equity of care. Her main interest is in understanding how primary care can be organized to optimize the quality and equity of the care delivered. Her work has the potential to inform future policy recommendations on organizing primary care. Her areas of expertise include: quantitative analyses, family medicine, organizational structure and equity.
