Biography
Dr. Simone Dahrouge is an Associate Professor and a Scientist at the University of Ottawa Department of Family Medicine. She has a cross-appointment with the School of Epidemiology and Public Health, and membership in Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies. She is also an Adjunct Scientist with IC/ES. She holds a Master's degree in Epidemiology and a PhD in Population Health from the University of Ottawa.
Dr. Dahrouge’s research focuses on the organization of primary care health services research and its effect on quality and equity of care. Her main interest is in understanding how primary care can be organized to optimize the quality and equity of the care delivered. She has developed a social prescribing program, Access to Resources in the Community (ARC) and is working to make this model available to all Canadians. She also established and leads the Ottawa Primary Care Improvement Network (OPEN). Her areas of expertise include: quantitative analyses, family medicine, organizational structure and equity.
