Biography

Dr. Peter Tanuseputro is a Public Health and Preventive Medicine physician, a Family Physician, and health services researcher. He is an Investigator at the Bruyère Research Institute and the Health System Performance Research Network. He uses linked big data held at the Institute for Clinical Evaluative Sciences (ICES) to develop population perspectives on aging and end of life in Ontario. Dr. Tanuseputro is currently leading several projects that aim to inform and improve the care trajectories of the aging population, including for those with dementia. This includes works to: measure the performance of care delivery across health care sectors, build tools to improve risk prognostication for those nearing end-of-life, and ultimately improve care planning for Ontarians with long-term care needs. Dr. Tanuseputro also practices family medicine in the community.
