Pre-Conference Skills Day: Community Emergency Medicine Outreach (CEMO) Simulation Day: High-fidelity Resuscitation and Skills

Date: Thursday, February 8, 2018

All New Cases!!

CEMO Simulation Day is a hands-on, half-day course on resuscitation skills for community health professionals. You'll learn principles of Crisis Resource Management to improve communication and teamwork. You'll participate in resuscitation cases and hone the skills you need in a community Emergency Department. We'll utilize high-fidelity mannequins that breathe, talk, and can be examined and resuscitated. A low participant-instructor ratio optimizes hands-on practice, feedback and clinical decision-making.

By the end of this course, participants will be able to:

  • Describe key principles of Crisis Resource Management to
  • optimize team performance in resuscitations
  • Participate in hands-on resuscitation scenarios, and demonstrate Crisis Resource Management principles in action
  • Master the fundamentals of starting patients on BiPap and ventilators, considering the clinical diagnosis and patient comfort.
