“5th Ottawa International Conference on Neuromuscular Disease and Biology”, will be held October 17-19, 2019, in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. See official program here: Ottawa NMD 2019 Conference Program
Work-in-Progress (WIP) Seminar Series
CNMD will host a monthly WIP, highlighting trainees from different member labs or clinical residents/fellows to present an overview of their projects, which serves to familiarize all members of the CNMD with the specific research conducted in that lab or clinic. This is a key strategic initiative to feature work being performed in different labs and clinical specialties (Neurology, Cardiology, Physiatry etc), and also provides valuable feedback for trainees.
Invited Seminar Series
Our Invited Seminar Series will bring leading neuromuscular researchers to expose CNMD scientists, clinicians and trainees to the most innovative science in the field. It also provides visiting scientists with an appreciation of the quality and quantity of neuromuscular research united under CNMD, to showcase Ottawa as a world-class centre of NMD research.
Clinical Neuromuscular Rounds
Clinical neuromuscular rounds highlight clinical presentations of complex or rare neuromuscular disorders in addition to laboratory data, imaging, genetic testing, electrophysiology, and neuropathology essential for accurate diagnosis and management.
Seminars and Conferences
The CNMD provides a highly collaborative and interactive environment to enhance opportunities for basic researchers, clinician-scientists and trainees to work on groundbreaking research. The CNMD Scientific Launch will highlight the quality and quantity of the innovative science in the field of neuromuscular research united under CNMD at uOttawa. The Launch also establishes the framework necessary to develop stronger connections between the basic scientists and their clinical counterparts at uOttawa, The Ottawa Hospital/OHRI and Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario/CHEORI.
