Dr. Fleming is currently Full Professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Ottawa where she enjoys a full practice in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the General and Riverside Campus’ of The Ottawa Hospital (TOH).  In addition, she is the Head of the Pediatric and Adolescent Gynecology Division at the Children's Hospital of Eastern Ontario (CHEO), where she is on Active Staff.  She received her medical degree from the University of Ottawa in 1995 and her Fellowship in Obstetrics and Gynecology in 2000. Since completing a Clinical Fellowship in Pediatric and Adolescent Gynecology (PAG) at l’Université de Montréal in 2001, she developed and implemented a comprehensive PAG Curriculum within the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Ottawa, the only bilingual PAG curriculum currently available in Canada. Furthermore, she is the Fellowship Director in PAG, a fellowship she developed and implemented in 2012.  In 2013, she received the “Educational Advancement and Innovation Award in Postgraduate Medical Education” at the University of Ottawa.

Dr. Fleming has been actively involved with continuing medical education, research and professional organizations like the SOGC (Society of Obstetrician and Gynecologist of Canada) and NASPAG (North American Society for Pediatric and Adolescent Gynecology.  Dr. Fleming Medical Program Lead of St. Mary’s Home, where she established the first Canadian Multidisciplinary Outreach Adolescent Obstetrics Program, in partnership between TOH and CHEO.  In 2013, Dr. Fleming received the prestigious Minister’s Medal Honoring Excellence in Quality and Safety for her leadership in this program.

Her special interests include clinical management, medical education and research in adolescent obstetrics and pediatric gynecology.
