Dr. Felipe Moretti

Dr. Felipe Moretti obtained his medical degree from the University of Caxias do Sul/Brazil in 1995. He did his residency training in Obstetrics/Gynecology (OB/GYN) at Femina Hospital - Grupo Hospital Conceicao in Porto Alegre/Brazil, which he completed in 1998. Dr. Moretti has been Board Certified OB/GYN since 1998 with the Brazilian Federation of Obstetrics and Gynecology. For nine years, Dr. Moretti ran a successful medical practice in OB/GYN, during which time he focused on Obstetrics/Gynecology Ultrasound. In 2002 Felipe earned his board certification in OB/GYN Ultrasound by Brazilian Federation in Obstetrics and Gynecology, Brazilian College of Radiology.  His primary interest was focused on Fetal Medicine, which in 2007, led Dr. Moretti to our Fellowship Program in Maternal-Fetal Medicine, at The Ottawa Hospital.  Dr. Moretti excelled during his three years within the program and within year one narrowed his training to Ultrasound and Prenatal Invasive Diagnosis.  Additionally, in 2010 Dr. Moretti became certified as a Fetal Medicine Specialist by Brazilian Federation of Obstetrics and Gynecology. By the time Felipe entered his final year of Fellowship, he had been promoted to Junior Consultant in the Division of Maternal-Fetal Medicine and subsequently, was invited to join the MFM Group Practice in 2011, as a full consultant.  Dr. Moretti has also been appointed as Assistant Professor of Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Ottawa.

Much of his time is devoted to the Medical Education lecturing Undergraduate Medical Students and providing Clinical and Ultrasound training to Fellows and Residents.  Felipe's keen interest in PGME inspired him to begin developing an interactive, Ultrasound Web-based Training program which is scheduled to launch late 2012.
