Research Day was a success again this year with great presentations from all the residents, fellows, basic science students and ophthalmic medical technology students.
The awards for the Best Fellows, Basic Science and OMT Students Presentations went to:
1st prize – Alexander Soon (Fellow) – Immunohistochemical Analysis of Benign and Malignant Melanocytic Lesions of the Conjunctiva Using Double-Staining
2nd prize – Tran Kah Linh Nguyen (OMT) – The Effect of Eye Movement on the Pattern Visual Evoked Potential (VEP) in Clinical Practice
Special Recognition – Dr. Pamela Lagali (Basic Science) – The Snf2h Chromatin Remodeler is Essential for Retinal Structural and Functional Integrity.
The awards for the Best Resident Presentations went to:
1st prize – Dr. Jennifer Gao (PGY-3) – Homonymous Hemianopsia: Effect of Prism Glasses on Visual Rehabilitation and Quality of Life
2nd prize – Dr. Maryam Abtahi (PGY-4) – Evaluation of the RETeval 30Hz Flicker ERG in the Assessment of Pediatric Diabetic Patients
