Dr. Vincent Deslandes received a Ph.D. in Veterinary Sciences – Microbiology from the Université de Montréal before obtaining his medical degree from McGill University. He completed his residency in Medical Microbiology at the University of Ottawa and has been practicing within the Eastern Ontario Regional Laboratory Association (EORLA) Regional Microbiology Reference Laboratory (RMRL) following his graduation in 2020, where he currently co-supervises the mycology section. He is the site supervisor for the Medical Microbiology program at EORLA RMRL. His research interest include fungal identification, quality improvements in microbiology, laboratory stewardship and evidence-based rapid testing in infectious diseases. He is also a contributor to MyPathologyReport.ca for microbiology-related topics.
