Undergraduate Training Opportunities
The division provides comprehensive teaching to undergraduate trainees in a variety of roles:
- Elective students (two to three week inpatient rotation)
- Elective observers (10 to 12 hour outpatient rotation)
- Selective students (two-week outpatient rotation)
Postgraduate Training Program
Residency Subspecialty (Fellowship) Hematology/Oncology Program
The Division of Hematology/Oncology supports and mentors a highly-achieving and sought-after accredited subspecialty residency training program. This is a three-year Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons program and the division has had many successful graduates of this program.

Additional Postgraduate Training Program
Pediatric Hematology/Oncology is a mandatory four-week rotation for a number of residency programs, providing valuable education experience in both inpatient and outpatient settings. These settings include general pediatrics, palliative care medicine, adult hematology, pediatric gynecology and adult hematopathology.
