Biography

Dr. Tobey Ann Audcent received her medical degree from McMaster University in Hamilton in 2003 and completed her pediatric residency training at the University of Ottawa in 2007. She completed an infectious diseases fellowship at the University of Ottawa in 2011. She also holds a diploma of tropical medicine and hygiene from the Gorgas Institute at the University of Alabama and is a graduate of the Health Education Scholar’s Program at uOttawa’s Department of Innovation in Medical Education. Dr. Audcent joined the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario (CHEO) as a clinician and medical educator in 2011 and provides clinical service to the general pediatrics, infectious diseases, complex care and emergency medicine services. She is also a visiting pediatrician to Nunavut and to the Centretown Community Health Centre in Ottawa. Her areas of interest include the health of vulnerable populations and e-learning. She is currently the president of the Canadian Pediatric Society’s Global Child and Youth Health section.
