Biography

Dr. David Creery received his medical degree from the University of Western Ontario in 1989. He completed a rotating internship at McMaster University in Hamilton in 1990, followed by a residency in pediatrics at the University of Ottawa in 1994. He earned a Master’s of Science degree from the University of Ottawa in microbiology and immunology in 1996 and completed a pediatric critical care fellowship at the University of Toronto in 1998. Since then, he has been a pediatric intensivist at the Children's Hospital of Eastern Ontario (CHEO). In 2002, Dr. Creery became director of the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) at CHEO. In June 2010, Dr. Creery graduated with a Master’s of Health Science in health administration from the Department of Health Policy, Management and Evaluation at the University of Toronto. In May 2011, he became the medical director of patient safety for CHEO. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.
