Biography
Dr. Kate Fathi earned her medical degree at the University College Dublin in Ireland. Her pediatric residency was at Memorial University in St. John’s Newfoundland. She completed her pediatric emergency medicine fellowship at University British Columbia in Vancouver British Columbia. She completed a subspecialty fellowship in pediatric emergency medicine point of care ultrasound (POCUS) and the Centre for Quality Improvement and Patient Safety (C-QuIPS) certificate course at the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto Ontario. Before moving to Ottawa, she worked as a pediatric emergency medicine physician at the Hospital for Sick Children. In 2018 she joined the faculty in the Division of Emergency Medicine at the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario (CHEO). Her area of interest are POCUS medical education and quality improvement.
