Biography
Christina Honeywell has been a genetic counsellor with the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario (CHEO) since 2002. She was the president of the Canadian Association of Genetic Counsellors (CAGC) from 2007 to 2008 and a member of the board of directors for seven years. Ms. Honeywell received her Master’s of Science in genetic counselling from the University of Toronto and is certified by the Canadian Association of Genetic Counsellors (CAGC). She is cross-appointed as an affiliate member in the McGill University Department of Human Genetics in Montreal. In 2005, she spent a year as a genetic counsellor and researcher at the University of Oxford with the Oxford Genetics Knowledge Park’s work package on sudden cardiac death. Ms. Honeywell has an interest in developing the emerging field of cardiac genetic counselling both in Canada and abroad through research, health service development and education.
