Robert Klaassen MD, FRCPC

Biography

Dr. Robert Klaassen received his medical degree from University of Saskatchewan in 1990. He completed his general pediatrics residency training first at Queen’s University in Kingston then at McGill University in Montreal in 1994.He subsequently did his clinical hematology/oncology training and research fellowship training at the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto in 1998.He has been on staff at the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario (CHEO) since 1998. Dr. Klaassen‘s current area of research focuses on the quality of life of patients with hematologic disorders. His clinical expertise is in benign hematology including hemoglobinopathies and bleeding disorders.
