Biography

Dr. Nisha Thampi received her Bachelor’s degree in Arts and Science at McMaster University in 2002. She completed her medical training, pediatrics residency and subspecialty training in infectious diseases at The Hospital for Sick Children and the University of Toronto, and obtained a Master’s of Science degree in public health, with a focus on health economics, from The London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine in 2012. Dr. Thampi returned to Toronto to do a clinical research fellowship with the antimicrobial stewardship program at Mount Sinai Hospital and the University Health Network in Toronto. She then joined the Division of Infectious Diseases at the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario (CHEO) in 2013. Her research interests focus on antimicrobial resistance and health systems.
