If I choose the University of Ottawa Psychiatry, where will my training take place? Throughout my residency, will I have to chance locations?
Residents rotate through five hospitals: The Royal Ottawa Mental Health Centre, The Ottawa Civic Hospital, The Ottawa General Hospital, The Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario and Montfort Hospital. These hospitals are an easy 15 minute drive from each other.
Does the University of Ottawa Psychiatry have Royal College Subspecialty training programs?
Yes, it has three subspecialty programs: child and adolescent psychiatry, geriatric psychiatry and forensic psychiatry.

What is living in Ottawa like?
