Medical Physics

The Department of Medical Physics at The Ottawa Hospital Cancer Centre provides scientific and technical support to the Radiation Medicine Program. This support relates in general terms to the calibration and ongoing verification of the accuracy of all aspects of the high-energy radiation dose delivered to patients treated with radiation therapy.

The Ottawa Hospital Cancer Center operates two separate campuses and provides radiotherapy using a variety of different treatment units including a CyberKnife, TomoTherapy units, Elekta conventional linear accelerators, a brachytherapy suite and CT Simulators.
