Welcoming Radiation Oncologist Dr. Gordon Locke

"Dr Gordon Locke, fellow in the division of Radiation oncology since July 2021 and locum tenens since January 2022 will now officially join us as a staff radiation oncologist! In this role he will be responsible for treating GI cancers.

Dr. Locke brings many skills and interests that will definitely be great assets for our team! Dr. Locke completed his undergraduate training at Western University in Medical Biophysics and his MD at McMaster University. He then went on to complete his residency in Radiation Oncology at the University of Toronto followed by a clinical fellowship in Stereotactic GU and CNS Radiation Oncology here at the University of Ottawa. He is presently completing a Masters degree in Health Professions Education at the University of Maastricht in the Netherlands. His academic and clinical interests include medical education with a focus on assessment tools used in residency programs and economic evaluations of cancer treatments. He has been a board member and heavily involved with both the Professional Association of Residents of Ontario (PARO) and Resident Doctors of Canada (RDOC) throughout his residency. Outside of medicine, he is a collector of bicycles that he sometimes rides and an avid hiker." - Marc Gaudet
