Biography

Dr. Rebecca Hibbert is an assistant professor in the Department of Medical Imaging at the University of Ottawa. She completed her fellowship at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN in Cross-sectional Imaging and now specializes in abdominal and pelvic radiology. In addition to her diagnostic work in ultrasound, CT and MRI, her area of clinical expertise includes treatment of liver and kidney tumours with percutaneous and intraoperative thermal ablation as well as other image-guided non-vascular interventions. She is currently director of the Abdominal Ablation group. 

Dr. Hibbert is also Program Director for the Radiology Residency Program at the University of Ottawa. In this capacity, she is heavily involved in the Curriculum Committee and spearheads radiology simulation training for residents at the Univerisity of Ottawa Skills and Simulation Centre. She is currently the co-director of the University of Ottawa Radiology Resident Review Course, held annually in Ottawa.
