The Faculty of Medicine includes approximately 2000 basic and clinical researchers spanning a wide range of areas, including neurosciences, cardiovascular and kidney diseases, systems biology, stem cell biology, genomics, clinical epidemiology, cancer and molecular and regenerative medicine.
As one of Canada’s leading research-intensive institutions, the uOttawa Faculty of Medicine has a long history of conducting the highest quality basic and clinical research, many of which are conducted in partnership with affiliated teaching hospitals and research institutes. These partnerships lead to biomedical discoveries that have a significant impact on health care not only within Canada but around the world.
