- The award aims to recognize one surgeon, currently or recently departed from the Department of Surgery (DoS) at the University of Ottawa, who has shown exceptional leadership and achievements within and beyond the field of academic surgery, in alignment with Dr. Keon’s tremendous career and contributions. The achievements can be academic, administrative, educational, and/or societal.
DoS Grant Competitions 2022
- With 23 proposals received, from across the divisions and hospital sites, we would like to congratulate our grant awardees this year. Our amazing DoS Grant Review Committee included members from all divisions and hospital sites, as well as external reviewers, Dr. Sibel Aydin, Dr. Sunita Mulpuru, and Dr. Manish Sood, all of whom provided detailed feedback for each of the proposals. Thank you!
- We would also like to thank divisions who provide matching funds both the Research Program Awards and Big Data Grants. Our Research MOU among uOttawa, the Faculty of Medicine and the Department of Surgery also generously supports a portion of the awards. Finally, we thank the Department of Surgery which supports the remainder of the awards.
