The DoS has approved new vision and mission statements. As part of this process, the department has formalized its desire to support its members through mentorship. We are currently recruiting a director for mentorship (and have coupled this with wellness).
Based on study of other medical and academic mentorship models, we anticipate having programs available for all staff in our department from junior faculty to retiring members, as well as those supporting them. The full gamut of needs will be addressed including mentorships for career, research, retirement, etc to suit our members' needs.
