Clinic Objectives:
Focused history and physical examination of common endocrinological problems; treatment strategies for diabetes, thyroid disorders, hyperlipidemia and pituitary dysfunction.
Consult Service Objectives:
Function as part of team including staff endocrinologist, fellows, residents and diabetes nurse. Management in-patient diabetes, urgent endocrine and postoperative pituitary surgery consults.
Description:
3-4 endocrinology clinics per week at the Riverside Campus as well as in-patient consults service at the Ottawa Hospital - General or Civic Campus.

Objectives:
Focused history and physical of diabetic patients, to learn about the complications of diabetes, exposure to specialty ambulatory care clinic, learn to function as part of an outpatient multidisciplinary team including residents, diabetes nurse and dietitian.
