Biography
Dr. Lyall Higginson has come back to the Department of Medicine after a three year absence where he was Head of Heart Health for Vancouver Island. Dr. Higginson first joined the Faculty of Medicine in 1977 and has worked for 30 years as a Cardiologist at the University of Ottawa Heart Institute.
His passion is in education both Undergraduate and Postgraduate and he returns to the Ottawa Heart Institute as a Clinical Cardiologist. He was Head of the Division of Cardiology for ten years prior to leaving for Vancouver Island. He is delighted to be able to return to the Division and to the University and looks forward to clinical care and contributing to the educational program of the Department of Medicine.
